Firm Foundations Academy Northwest partners with Christian families to provide a diversity of learners with a Christ-centered classical education that cultivates wisdom through engaging and joyful teaching, all for the glory of God.
We come from the presuppositional position that God IS, and all things were created by Him and He is the only one that could redeem His creation through His son.
The liberal arts tradition encompasses the trivium and quadrivium—the art of words and the art of numbers, respectively. We guide students from knowledge to understanding, and ultimately towards wisdom in all their studies.
The good teacher understands that learning is active and not passive, students are not knowledge receptacles, but are co-discoverers of truth.
A nurturing, vibrant, and enthusiastic education that lifts the eager student towards truth.
In Christ, all treasures of wisdom and knowledge are found. As one fears God (Prov. 9:10) and keeps His commands, they develop the ability and competencies to discern and make choices that honor God and bless others.
Everyone is made in God’s image, fearfully and wonderfully made, and we aim to serve a diversity of learners.
At Firm Foundations, we deeply hope that each student grows in love for God and His infallible Word, able to discern truth from deception with a strong grasp of the gospel they long to share. Rooted in the Christian liberal arts tradition, we seek to cultivate disciples—courageous, humble, Kingdom-focused individuals—equipped with critical thinking skills to uphold His teachings, embody His love, and live with hearts full of gratitude. In a community that treasures Christ above all, we pray that each child learns to walk faithfully, yielding their hearts to God, joyfully serving others, and continually being recreated in His image. Inspired by Micah 6:8, may they “act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly” with God, understanding that every aspect of life is shaped by His Word. May they live as true image-bearers of the living God, grounded in faith, wisdom, gratitude, and humble obedience.
